Meet Mrs. Bainbridge

Welcome! I am Christina Bainbridge
and I will be your child's teacher for the upcoming
school year!
I am a 2004 graduate of Western Michigan University and have a
Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with minors in English,
science, and mathematics. In 2009, I received my Master's
Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from
Marygrove College
in Detroit.
I have taught second grade here at Central
since 2006. Before that, I taught preschool for two years in
Centreville. I am so excited to begin a new adventure teaching
a 1st/2nd grade split class this school year! In addition to
teaching, I also create files to sell on the website
Teaching Oasis. I
began doing this with two teacher friends in March of 2009 and have
loved being able to share my ideas with others in this way! My husband, Dustin, and I live in Centreville
with our two dog sons, Sam and Squeaks!

things Anne of Green Gables and Anne of
Avonlea. My favorite actor is Morgan Freeman.
Song: I
love music and have so many
favorite songs! If you looked at the CDs in my vehicle,
you'd see that I'm currently listening to my RENT soundtrack,
GLEE, and John Legend!
TV Show:
I love GLEE, The Office, 30 Rock, and enjoy watching true
crime shows on Investigation Discovery.
Book: I love to read
and this list of "favorites" is always growing! Some of my
all-time favorite reads are To Kill a
Mocking Bird, the Harry Potter series (#6 is my favorite!),
the "City of..." trilogy by Cassanrda Clare,
The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and
The Glory Field by Walter Dean
Myers.
Things I collect: I
collect snowflake Christmas ornaments and I love Rudolph! I
have a big Rudolph collection that comes out at Christmas, which
is my favorite holiday. My friends and I take an annual
pilgrimage to Frankenmuth every year to shop at Bronner's (the
world's largest Christmas store) and eat their tasty chicken.
I even bring my students back some
chocolate cheese!
Food: I love popcorn,
asparagus, dark chocolate, and lima beans... not together, of course!
Hobbies: I love to
read, scrapbook, spend time with friends and family, and work on my
website. I am also a HUGE musical lover! I've seen
Wicked, Spam-a-Lot, Hairspray, Rent (3 times... once with the two
original leads!), Stomp, The Wizard of Oz, Phantom of the Opera, The
Producers, Beauty and the Beast, The 25th Annual Putnam County
Spelling Bee, West Side Story, Legally Blonde, The Color Purple, and Cats! This year I will be seeing
Mary Poppins, Drum Line, Fiddler on the Roof, The Blue Man Group, Rent
again (for the fifth time), Memphis (we're going to see this ON
BROADWAY!!!), and
Wicked and Spam-a-Lot both twice for a THIRD time. I can't wait! I love musicals!!!!
